It’s the IATEFL BESIG conference in Munich next weekend and on Sunday I’ll be presenting a case study on linking English progress to a company’s bonus scheme. The BESIG conference is a great opportunity to network and take new ideas for teaching and writing on board. But I’m also hoping to have time to get to know the city and get rid of some prejudices. My memories of Munich are from when I was a child of 10 – it was a hot day and our parents dragged us from one boring museum to the other and I was so thirsty …

Driving to class today, I thought how lucky I was to be able to drive through such beautiful landscape. The Autumn colours are here and the sun in the leaves makes the trees look – oh yes, that’s a great warm-up for my next class. The trees look :
